“Barbed Boundaries” Dream Catcher has been uniquely hand-made using Barbed Wire which
has been clear coated for protection. Textured Wool and feathers create a soft contrast to the
Barbed Wire.
This peace asks us to look at and question our Boundaries.
As I wove the Rose Beads into the spiral, I was feeling into the thought of how thorns protect the beauty, and delicacy of the Rose. Then, as the Centre Peace of the Bird in the Cage was selected, the question arose…Do boundaries protect or imprison? Who or what are we protecting anyway? And why? What makes us think that we need to be protected, to cast boundaries around ourselves when what is most needed in this world, both personally and collectively is connection! Are we being manipulated into believing that we must protect ourselves? Is this another ploy to keep us separated – to divide & conquer?
